Hervé Coutrix
Hervé Coutrix began his career as a geophysicist, moving fairly
quickly into interpretation and management positions related to
geosciences, working in a variety of roles in Africa, Northern Europe
and South America. He is a member of the Total Exploration Council
and is Vice President of Structural and Sedimentological Interpretation
(TOTAL, Pau France), a post he has held since 2007.
Prior to that he spent two years as deputy vice president for the
Geosciences Technology Division of TOTAL,
followed by four years as Geosciences Manager for Total Austral,
a Total subsidiary in Argentina. He also worked for several years
for the oil company ELF in France, the Netherlands and Gabon.
